Sandvik DS512i is an automated rock bolting drill rig for underground mining operations. Equipped with a stable carrier, high-frequency rock drill, SICA control system and ergonomic cabin, the DS512i offers high levels of safety and efficiency in all rock reinforcement operations.

Strong performance
Sandvik RD314 high frequency rock drill combined with the drilling control system optimize drilling penetration rates. The one bolt automation function of DS512i improves drilling productivity and extends operating lifetime of the drilling tools.

Intelligent drill controls
The SICA control system offers intelligent torque control as well as assistive and automatic technologies during drilling, grouting and bolt tightening for improved bolting process control. Different automation levels are available. (Silver, Gold, Platinum)

Upgraded BHi bolting head
DS512i is equipped with an upgraded bolting head with different bolt lengths, providing an extensive bolt selection, while the eight-rock bolt carousel ensures DS512i is capable of installing different types of rock bolts ranging from 1.5m (5 ft.) to 6m (20 ft.) in length.

High parts commonality
