Rotary drill deck bushings
- Rotary and DTH
- Premium-grade heat-treated alloy steel
- Can be customized according to customer needs
Sandvik Drill Deck Bushings centralize the drill pipe over the hole, preventing misalignment of the bit and drill string while extending the tool’s life. There are two types of bushing: static and rotating.
Quality collaring, desk bushing and rod support prevent most operational failures on drill string parts. By matching the drill string tool componentry needs to your specific drill rig, you achieve a balance between stability for column strength and optimum bit/drill string performance.
The deck bushings’ components are of high quality and engineered to efficiently handle hard rock and abrasive formations found in surface mines, quarries and construction. Extreme torsional and axial loads are transmitted through the rotary drill string and each component is optimized for application.
Static-type bushings are utilized in DTH applications with low drilling string speed. Rotating bushings have an inner guide sleeve that is bearing mounted. This allows the inner guide sleeve to rotate with the drill string at a higher penetration rate, resulting in less vibration, torque and drill pipe diameter gouging.
