Compressed air is required for powering the hammers on the ITH longhole drills. Since all the air required by ITH hammers can not be produced onboard the drill units, portable boosters and compressors allow the delivery of the required air in the mine. Our ITH boosters & compressors
Sandvik DA101 pipe handler is skid mounted and powered by the ITH drill through umbilical hose and designed for forklift transportation.
Sandvik DA201 pipe handler is self-contained and track mounted, and powered by an onboard diesel engine. It can also be powered by the ITH drill through umbilical hose during handling of pipes.
Mechanized pipe handling improves product safety and reduces operator fatigue. Standard ITH carousels allow mechanized pipe handling when hole length is up to 60 m. The time spent in handling and storing the drill pipes is reduced , ensuring increased drilling capacity and productivity.
Sandvik KA-series electrically powered air compressors are an alternative to expensive mine air supply infrastructure. The KA-series single- and two-stage air compressors are designed for supplying air for 3” to 8” ITH hammers and V-30 boring heads at wide altitude
Sandvik KR-series electrically powered reciprocating boosters are designed for supplying air for 3” to 8” ITH hammers and V-30 reaming heads at wide altitude range. They compress 6 to 7 bar air from the mine supply infrastructure to 24 bar, and the typical use is to deliver air
Sandvik KS-series electrically powered screw boosters are designed for supplying air for 3” to 8” ITH hammers and V-30 reaming heads at wide altitude range.
Sandvik DD411 is a single-boom electro-hydraulic jumbo for fast and accurate drilling in drifting and tunneling of up to 90 m² (with SB90) cross sections.
The Quarry Academy ® team just announced the Quarry Academy ® 2020 scholarship winner: Alexandra Gregor, a Mining Engineering and Management student from the South Dakota School of Mines. Alexandra is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She responds: “I am grateful
Sandvik has completed the previously announced acquisition of DSI Underground, the global leader in ground support and reinforcement products, systems and solutions for the underground mining and tunneling industries.
