Sandvik coal utility vehicles are engineered for continuous heavy-duty operation in tough conditions. They meet the national design requirements for flameproof mining equipment in the USA (MSHA), China (MA), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Australia (ANZEX), Europe (ATEX) and South Africa (SANS). In combination with Sandvik QDS (Quick Detach System) attachments, such as augers, cable/belt reelers, forks and many more, these mining utility vehicles provide an effective and safe solution for a wide range of underground loading, hauling and general utility duties.

Sandvik LS312, a new 12-tonne capacity, heavy-duty flameproof underground loader is powered by a C7.1 mechanical engine with Tier 2 emission standards and integrated exhaust aftertreatment systems, reducing personnel exposure to harmful diesel emissions. Significant improvements have also been made to operator cabin ergonomics and visibility, assisting safety and comfort during operation.
