Sandvik to revise its global distribution agreement with Getman Corporation

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology has revised the Global Distribution Agreement for sale and support of Getman utility vehicles.

Sandvik and Getman have strategically reevaluated the synergies of the two organizations in the marketplace and how to best align them with their Customer needs. Sandvik and Getman have collectively reviewed the common best interests of both parties have agreed to redefine the scope of their cooperation.

Sandvik will cease the distribution and support of Getman equipment in some territories while retaining exclusive distributor rights in select areas where it will continue providing outstanding Customer care and representation of the entire Getman product line. Revised from the coverage of the prior Global Distribution Agreement, Sandvik will be the exclusive distributor of Getman products at the following existing locations:

  • PT Freeport Indonesia in Irian Jaya – Indonesia
  • All Customers - Mexico
  • DeBeers Group Venetia Mine – Republic of South Africa
  • Vale SA, Brio Gold Inc and NEXA Resources properties - Brazil

The transition of the exiting territories will be completed by June 30, 2020. During this time Sandvik will provide uninterrupted service to the current Getman equipment users.
